It’s the latest trend to hit the Home Office Decor scene; its the most stylish organisational tool whilst still living up to the functionality feature we all expect in the office. To avoid paying $50 retailers are asking for, I have a few simple steps for you to follow in order to achieve this look for much less whilst keeping up with the latest home office trend.

Here’s what I used for he DIY Project:

  1. Mini Mesh Wire from Bunnings Warehouse (Whites Wires 600 x 900 x 50mm Wire Mesh Mini Panel)

  2. White Metal Paint (Bunnings Warehouse)

  3. Mini Pegs from Kmart

  4. Silver spray paint to paint the pegs

~$27 all up

Now for the magic…this is how I did it:

  1. I cut and filed the mesh wire board in order to fit in the desired area (I do not recommend you follow this step unless you have experience dealing with the right tools)

  2. I then cleaned the wire mesh board down with an old wet sponge to remove any residue or dust from storage

  3. I headed outside and laid some newspaper down on the grass and put the board over the newspaper to prepare for spray painting

  4. Spray painted one whole side of the wire mesh until it was fully white – I waited a few hours and turned it around to spray paint the other side

  5. Once it was fully dry I hung it by leaning it against the wall in the desired space so that I could avoid drilling any unwanted holes to keep it up

  6. After all that, I personalised it with some of my favourite décor objects other pieces dear to me.
